1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is for sale

In 1984, Porsche unveiled the last iteration in the original 911 series and the successor to the 911 SC model, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2. Celebrating the production of the 250,000th 911, 875 units were produced in coupe, targa and cabriolet variants. One of them, a 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, is up for sale.

This Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is finished in Diamond Blue Metallic and is in good condition. Unlike some showroom-kept, low-mileage models, this car has a solid 81,142 miles on the odometer. It is equipped with a front and rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, heated electrically adjustable side mirrors, a single exhaust outlet and a power-operated sunroof. According to the owner’s statement, axle boots, brake calipers, rotors and pads were replaced, and euro-specification tie rods were installed. Also, the oil, valve cover gaskets, drive belts, spark plugs and adjusted valves, temperature sensor, fuel-pressure regulator, distributor cap, rotor, and fuel lines were changed before the sale.

Inside, the power-adjustable front seats are covered in black leather that can also be seen on the door panels and dashboard. The steering wheel is also wrapped in black leather. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows and a Sony stereo.

The Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is powered by a 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-6 engine with 217 hp (160 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear axle via a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. It’s mounted on a set of 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Traction T/A tires.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with the owner’s manual and a clean New York title.

The auction ends on November 29 and the current highest bid is $75,911 USD.
