2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series is for sale

At the 2008 Monterey car week, Mercedes premiered the limited edition Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series. It is one of the most powerful Mercedes-Benz AMG cars that was produced until 2011, and only 350 lucky ones own this beast on wheels. 175 cars were designed for the American market and one of them, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series, was offered at auction.

SL 65 AMG Black Series is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 661 hp (486 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an AMG Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It reaches 62 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h). It is mounted on 19″ and 20″ AMG twin-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 255/35 (front) and 325/30 (rear) Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

This car is finished in Palladium Silver Metallic (792U), is in excellent condition and has been well maintained. It is equipped with carbon-fiber bodywork, a fixed carbon-fiber roof, bi-xenon headlamps with washers and adaptive cornering, a speed-sensitive carbon-fiber rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, polished exhaust outlets, an adjustable suspension, slotted and drilled brake rotors and Electronic Stability Control.

Inside, the sport seats are upholstered in Black Exclusive leather, which also covers the door panels, dashboard and central console. The multi-function steering wheel is wrapped in black leather. Additional equipment includes carbon-fiber interior trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-Go, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a Harman Kardon LOGIC7 sound system. The clock shows 3,838 miles.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with a window sticker, owner’s manuals and a clean Florida title.

The auction ends on December 20th and the current highest bid is $226,000 USD.
