Aston Martin V12 Vantage Has Come To An End

Aston Martin has announced the strongest but, unfortunately, also its last V12 Vantage. This was confirmed by Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers who said: “Now it is time to bring this bloodline to a close, fittingly with the most spectacular example yet – the fastest, most powerful and most dynamically capable V12 Vantage ever.”

The new Aston Martin Vantage will be powered by a 6.0 twinturbo V12 engine with 690 hp (507 kW) and 555 lb-ft (753 Nm) of torque, which is 20 percent more than the V8 model. It will reach 62 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km / h). It is mounted on 21-inch wheels wrapped in 275/35 (front) and 315/30 (rear) Michelin Pilot 4S tires.

The car was on a diet so the weight was reduced to more than an excellent 1795 kg. All this is achieved by the use of lightweight carbon parts such as carbon fenders, side sills, rear bumper, deck lid, centrally placed stainless steel exhaust. It is also equipped with adaptive suspension, new springs, composite brakes with 410 mm discs and six-piston calipers at the front, while at the rear there are 360 mm discs with four-piston calipers.

Tobias Moers also said: “Every great sports car brand has a hero car. For Aston Martin in more recent years that car has been the V12 Vantage. Right from the moment the first V12 Vantage RS Concept was shown back in 2007 our customers and fans around the world fell in love with the idea of fitting our biggest engine into our smallest and most sporting model. ”

It will be produced in only 333 copies, and the first cars should reach their owners at the end of the year.
