1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe is up for auction

In 1988, Porsche unveiled the evolutionary 911, the Type 964. It was a significant car for Porsche because after the recession it had to rely on something new, apart from the name. In order to demonstrate the commitment to engineering, the Carrera 4 was introduced. However, in 1990, the Carrera 2 was revealed, bringing the Tiptronic automatic transmission for the first time. It was produced until 1993 and one of the first produced, the 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe, is up for auction.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe is powered by an air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six engine with 250 hp (184 kW) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission with an optional limited-slip differential. It is mounted on 17-inch Cup wheels wrapped in 205/50 (front) and 255/40 (rear) Michelin Pilot Sport N3 tires.

This car is finished in Grand Prix White, has been well maintained and is in good condition. It is equipped with a rear spoiler, an electric sunroof, integrated fog lights, optional headlight washers, and heated, power-adjustable mirrors and Öhlins DFV coilover suspension. Between 2018 and 2022, door control strips, climate control panel, cylinder heads, crankshaft, connecting rod, assemblies, bearings, engine mounts, pistons and cylinders, timing chain, ramps and tensioners were replaced.

Inside, the adjustable seats are wrapped in black leather, which also covers the door panels and dashboard. The four-spoke steering wheel is also wrapped in black leather. Additional equipment includes power windows, dual front airbags, cruise control and air conditioning. The clock reads 66,926 miles.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, recent service records, a car cover and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The auction ends on January 2nd and the current highest bid is $87,000 USD.

A unique collection of RUF cars is up for auction

Modified cars often fetch high prices, especially those done by one of the best tuning companies for Porsche cars, Ruf Automobile. A unique collection of Porsche cars made by this company will be sold at auction. It is a collection of four cars, BTR2, Turbo R, Turbo R Cabriolet and RK Coupe, and the auction will take place on March 2 & 3, 2023.

1997 RUF BTR2

The 1997 RUF BTR2 is the successor to the 1983 BTR model, which has a number of modifications compared to the standard Porsche 911 on which it is based. It was produced between 1994 and 1997, and only 10 examples left the workshop of the German tuner. The car is equipped with a number of modifications such as a distinctive front bumper and splitter, a large rear spoiler and black glossy five-spoke headlights. It is powered by a 3.6L turbo engine with 414 hp (309 kW) and 435 lb-ft (590 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph (319 km/h).

1998 RUF Turbo R was produced in 15 examples, each with a different appearance. The Turbo R Coupe is powered by a 3.6L twin-turbo flat-six engine with 490 hp (365 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. It reaches 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 192 mph (310 km/h). This car is special because it was returned to RUF’s workshop a few years ago, where it received a number of components just like the 2016 Turbo R Limited Series. The clock shows 22,208 km.

1998 RUF Turbo R

The 1998 RUF Turbo R Cabriolet is powered by a 3.6L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with 490 hp (365 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 192 mph (310 km/h). Only one example of this car was produced, finished in Blutorange. The clock shows 16,452 km.

The 2007 RUF RK Coupe is based on the Porsche Cayman, and represents a combination of Italian style and German technology. It is powered by a 3.8L flat-six engine with 440 hp (324 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (304 km/h). RUF intended to produce 49 examples of this car, but produced only two. One is actually a prototype kept in a museum in Italy.

2011 Ferrari 599 GTO is up for auction

On April 2010, Ferrari unveiled a road-legal version of the 599XX track car, the Ferrari 599 GTO. At the time Ferrari claimed that the 599 GTO was their fastest ever road car. It was produced until 2012, and 599 cars left the production line, 125 of which were specified for the American market. One of them, a 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO, is up for auction.

Ferrari 599 GTO is powered by a 6.0-liter F140 V12 engine with 656 hp (482 kW) and 459 lb-ft (620 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via the F1 SuperFast electro-hydraulic automatic gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h). It is mounted on 20-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 285/30 (front) and 315/35 (rear) Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

This car is finished in Rosso Corsa, has been properly maintained and is in excellent condition. It is equipped with magnetorheological dampers, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, rear parking sensors, front carbon fiber spoiler, rear diffuser, flying-buttress C-pillars, quad exhaust outlets, four-piston brake calipers over cross-drilled, slotted, and ventilated ceramic- composite rotors at each corner.

Inside, the Recaro seats are upholstered in black leather, which can also be seen on the door panels and dashboard. The carbon fiber-accented steering wheel features integrated LED shift lights in the upper part of the rim, an engine start button and a lever to control driving settings. Additional equipment includes dual-zone climate control, a CD stereo, a fire extinguisher, embossed prancing horse headrests, and drilled aluminum pedals. The clock reads 4,336 miles.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with a Ferrari Classiche red book, a car cover, a battery maintainer, service records and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The auction ends on January 9th and the current highest bid is $458,599 USD.
