Ferrari F40 driven by Nico Rosberg

The Ferrari F40 is one of the icons of the Italian manufacturer and the latest model to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. One such F40 was driven by Nico Rosberg, a former Formula 1 driver, along the Mediterranean coast, to thank over a million of his subscribers on the YouTube channel.

In the late 80’s, Emzo Ferrari created the 288 GTO Evoluzione, but they got banned by the FIA for that kind of racing. Since they had a finished car, Enzo decided to make the fastest road car of all time (323 kph). After fourteen months of development, the F40 was presented to the public on July 21, 1987 in Maranello. It is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 476 hp (350 kW) that pushes the car to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds. Although it was initially planned to produce only 400 units, due to high demand, 1,311 F40 models were produced.

What a ride it would be if the former world champion did not take the opportunity and show his skills. Like a child in a candy shop, excited but cautious, he got into the car. Coming out on the open road, he squeezed the gas pedal, and the adrenaline rushed. Luckily, there were no other cars on the road, so he prepared an unforgettable experience for his co-pilot (videographer).

The ride did not take long because the car was not his. He borrowed it from a neighbor. On his way back to the garage, he went through a red light and caused a traffic jam in one of the narrow streets.
