2023 Porsche 911 Dakar is coming soon

After Lamborghini unveiled its off road car Huracan Sterrato, the last with ICE, Porsche announced the arrival of its all-road car, the Porsche 911 Dakar. The premiere will take place on November 16 at the LA Auto Show.

The car passed tests at the Nürburgring and final winter tests, and now it has arrived in the deserts of Morocco and Dubai. Test drivers and engineers were assisted on several occasions by the legendary German rally driver and Porsche ambassador for many years, Walter Röhrl.

The photos reveal that the Porsche 911 Dakar is not raised as much as the two test prototypes that recently reached the top of the highest volcano in the world, but it has a slightly higher suspension than the Carrera 4S on which it is based. The new front bumper, revised air intakes and fixed rear wing are just some of the novelties that the 911 Dakar has. At the rear there are round exhaust pipes and a one-piece light bar under the rear wing.

When it comes to the powertrain, Porsche has not announced technical details, but it is expected that the 911 Dakar will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer 6 engine with 473 hp (348 kW) and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the Porsche Carrera 4 GTS. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK.

Also, Porsche has decided to refresh several of its models such as the popular 911 Carrera and 911 (992) Cabriolet (as the 2024 model). Both cars will hit the market in 2023.

2024 Porsche 911 GT3

While we wait for Porsche to introduce several new models, such as the 911 Cabriolet and 911 Hybrid, the Stuttgart-based company is seriously considering the new 911 GT3 model. According to photos from Spain, the car is currently in the testing phase.

This news will delight all enthusiasts of the German brand and especially the GT3 model. So far, Porsche has not made any statement about this. The current 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with an impressive 510hp (375 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph (318 kph). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via manual or automatic seven-speed transmission (PDK).

First of all, this car should not be confused with the GT3 RS model. At first glance, we could say that the design of the front part has been retained, however, some changes can still be noticed, such as the slightly moved up front lights. At the rear, a large spoiler and two centrally located exhaust pipes can be seen, while both sides of the rear bumper are covered.

Inside, camouflage covers most. Some earlier information indicated that Porsche could enrich this model with a digital instrument panel.

We will have more information after Porsche makes a statement about this model.

2024 Porsche 911 (992) Cabriolet

After the recently published photos from the testing of the Porsche 911 Carrera and 911 Turbo, it seems that Porsche has decided to refresh the model 911 (992) Cabriolet. The car was seen on the snowy roads of the north.

Although it wears camouflage on some parts, some changes can still be noticed. The front end is reminiscent of that of the new 911 Carrera, with slightly larger air intakes on the front bumper with vertical slats, while on the sides there are unusual lights, which we hope will be used only in the testing phase.

At the rear, the camouflage hides a lot, but you can see the centrally placed exhaust system pipes and single part LED light bar. The rest of the bumper is covered with camouflage. It is equipped with slightly wider rims wrapped in Michelin tires. Speaking of the interior, it is not known if there will be a change.

When it comes to powertrain, rumors say the new 911 Cabriolet will most likely be powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine with an unknown number of horsepower. The current 911 Cabriolet is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six with a power range from 380 hp to 473 hp.

The new 911 (992) Cabriolet is expected to be unveiled next year as the 2024 model.
