Popular and rare cars are often sold at auctions for big money, but when Renault does that, it’s a real surprise. Recently auctioned, the 2004 Renault Clio V6 reached a price of € 108,500 (£ 90,000). One of the reasons is that this is one of only five produced examples with a steering wheel on the right.
The car is in excellent condition and comes with all the original documentation. This model is extremely rare. It is the 21st that is finished in Acid Yellow, and is one of 18 equipped with the Complete Leather Pack which cost £ 3,900. Inside, the seats are upholstered in leather that can also be seen on the door panels, steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake.
The Clio V6 is equipped with Trophy ignition coils, a Janspeed rear box and a BMC-CDA induction kit with silicone hoses, to release more engine power and increase reliability.
Renault Clio V6 is powered by a mid-mounted 3.0 liter V6 engine with 255 hp (188 kW). Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Reaches 62 mph in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 153 mph (246 km / h). The car has only 17,270 miles (27,790 km) on the odometer, and had only one owner who bought it from Renault UK.
