This year, BMW’s M department celebrates half a century of successful operation. Many different M models have found their way to the hearts of their owners, and now this part of the Bavarian company has introduced a new model, the 2023 BMW M4 GT4.
After a successful first generation, the new BMW M4 GT4, designed exclusively for the track, is equipped with a special aerodynamic package. At the front there is a larger front splitter and front wings, while better aerodynamics are contributed by massive sills, rear wing taken from the M4 GT3, traction control system, adjustable H&R springs, transverse stabilizer and lightweight roof. BMW allows each customer to configure the car as required.
Inside, ventilated Recaro seats, heated windshield and air conditioning come as standard. There is also a steering wheel with illuminated controls, manufactured by Fanatec.
When it comes to powertrain, the M4 GT4 is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo in-line six engine with 550 hp (405 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed ZF automatic transmission with limited slip differential.
The car will go into production at the end of the year and will cost € 187,000. That’s a lot less than the M4 GT3 which costs € 415,000.
