Crossovers have been attracting customers’ attention for a long time. Thus, Citroen introduced the C4 X, which the French company says represents a “unique alternative” to hatchback and SUV models. This is Citroen’s response to the recently introduced Peugeot 408.
The Citroen C4 X should fill the gap between the C4 and C5 X. It is 4,600 mm long, 1,525 mm high and 1,800 mm wide with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, which makes it slightly smaller than the competitor Peugeot 408. All these figures caused slightly less luggage space (510 L) which should not be a problem for long trips.
The C4 X is powered by a single electric motor with 136 hp (100 kW) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 9.7 seconds with a top speed of 93 mph (150 km / h), in Sport mode.
In European markets such as Germany, France, Italy and Spain, the car will be offered with electric drive, while in some markets the model will be available with petrol and diesel engines. It will be equipped with a 50 kWh battery that provides a range of 360 km. Thanks to the 100 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
All cars will be manufactured at Stellantis plant in Spain.
