The day is approaching when the Maranello-based company will unveil its first SUV, the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue. So far, several photos have been published showing the design of the car, which the company claims will be a limited edition.
For a long time, Ferrari resisted the creation of an SUV model, but since the demand for SUVs was expanding, and the competition was increasing, the decision was made. With its first SUV, Ferrari strives, in an efficient way, to attract first-time buyers, but also younger ones. Recently, we saw the first photos showing what Purosangue should look like. The darkened image of the upcoming SUV shows that the front grille is located low in the bumper with a prancing horse located in its central part, large air intakes on the sides and thin front daytime running lights.
The car has been announced as “Heart Of A Thoroughbred,” and it’s a clear link to Purosangue. The video posted on twitter doesn’t reveal much. Only details of the V12 engine with the manufacturer’s name clearly imprinted can be seen.
When it comes to the powertrain, rumors said that it will be a plug-in hybrid powered by a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with 654 hp (488 kW) and an electric motor with 164 hp (123 kW), for a total of 818 hp (610 kW) and 546 lb-ft 740 Nm) of torque. Some even mention a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. However, it is now certain that the Ferrari Purosangue will be powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine. Good job Ferrari!
Ferrari Purosangue will have its world premiere on September 13.
