Last week, Volkswagen presented the most powerful VW Golf, and the company announced that all copies were sold in just eight minutes. The Golf R 333 Limited Edition is part of Volkswagen’s plan to create the ultimate Golf R, but that effort has been stalled by the Dieselgate scandal.

This is an extraordinary result if we consider that the limited edition Golf R 333 costs 76,410 euros, as well as that the powerful hatchback 20 Years Edition presented last year cost 59,995 euros, which is not cheap at all. Well done Volkswagen!
R 333 is finished in yellow with black side mirrors, has a black roof and tiles on the front fenders. It is mounted on a set of 19-inch Estoril wheels and has blue brake calipers, and is equipped with an Akrapovič quad exhaust system. It is powered by a 2.0L gasoline engine with 333 hp (245 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to push the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph).
