2025 Peugeot E-408 has arrived

At the beginning of October, Peugeot premiered its all-electric crossover SUV, the E-408. It is the electric version of the Peugeot 408 model, with which the French manufacturer has completed its range of EVs.

At first glance, the E-408 is almost identical to the 408 model. Only a few minor elements can be noticed that show that it is still an electric vehicle. There is a new grille with chrome trim, thin matrix LED headlights, LED taillights in three parts that simulate the shape of three claws, and a new inscription that will differentiate this car from the petrol and hybrid. The lower part of the body is protected by a series of protective covers, and it should also be noted that the car is equipped with 19-inch wheels with a graphite finish.

The interior of the all-electric crossover SUV E-408 has a futuristic design and reveals a wide range of technological equipment, such as a fully configurable 3D 10″ digital instrument panel.

The car is developed on the EMP2 platform, and is equipped with a lithium-ion 58.2 kWh battery located in the chassis of the car, between the wheels, in order to avoid losing space in the passenger compartment. This battery provides a range of 453 kilometers according to WLTP, which is more than enough for everyday trips. Thanks to the charging power of up to 120 kW, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just over 30 minutes, and a 10-minute charge enables a range of almost 100 km.

The Peugeot E-408 is powered by an electric motor with 190 hp (140 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque. In Eco mode, drivers can count on more power, 170 hp (125 kW) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque. In Sport mode, the E-408 offers a maximum of 214 hp (157 kW) and 254 lb-ft (345 Nm) of torque.

The order book will be opened in certain markets, and the price will be around 49,000 euros.
