Since the Skoda Scala and Kamiq appeared on the market in 2019, the Czech car manufacturer has not presented their refreshed versions. However, the time has come for that too. The presentation is announced for the beginning of August, and several teasers reveal the design of the refreshed versions.
When it comes to the powertrain, there will be two types of engines to choose from: a 1.0L three-cylinder TSI and a 1.5L four-cylinder TSI engine. Both versions are paired with a 6-speed or 7-speed automatic transmission. Diesel TDI engines are not sure to remain as an option, and the reason could be EU emissions regulations.
In terms of design, we can expect both models with slightly thinner front lights, redesigned bumpers, and newly designed rims. In the cabin, there will be no major changes.
In addition to the new Scala and Kamiq, Skoda is preparing to launch an electric version of the Enyaq SUV in the next few years, as well as new versions of some of the Czech car manufacturer’s most popular models, the Kodiaq and Superb. The plan is that a new version of the Octavia, as well as several electric models, will arrive on the market in the next three years.
