2024 Skoda Superb is here

When the fourth-generation Skoda Superb was spotted testing two years ago, little was known about this upcoming car. Now, when the premiere is approaching, Skoda has published several photos.

As previously predicted, the car will have a lower roofline and wide and thin taillights, including a slightly longer rear suspension. It will have a new radiator grille and the side profile will be improved with strong shoulder lines.

It will be offered in sedan and station wagon versions, and larger dimensions and a better coefficient of air resistance are the main innovations. 4912 mm long, 1834 mm wide and 1481 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2841 mm, the sedan is 43 mm longer and 12 mm wider than its predecessor. The interior is spacious enough to accommodate five passengers, and provides 645 liters of luggage space. It is equipped with a 13-inch infotainment screen and a 10-inch digital cockpit.

When it comes to the powertrain, there are three gasoline and two diesel options available that will meet Euro 7 emission standards, as well as a plug-in hybrid available only in the station wagon version. Gasoline engines are 1.5 mHEV with 150 hp/110 kW, and 2.0 TSI with 204 hp/150 kW and 265 hp/195 kW (AWD). The diesel options are the 2.0 TDI diesel engine with 150 hp/110 kW and 193 hp/142 kW (AWD). All engines are paired with a DSG gearbox. It should also be noted that the new Superb is built on the modular MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group.

2024 Cupra DarkRebel

Cupra has unveiled its new car that is entirely created in virtual space, for the future generation of drivers, the Cupra DarkRebel. This all-electric two-seater pushes the boundaries of design and performance, and is the company’s most powerful car.

Almost 300k configurations of members of the Cupra tribe were used in the creation of its futuristic design. This is a new approach in car design and a way for the company to connect as much as possible with new potential customers. The car has outstanding technology that inspires passion and demonstrates the rebellious mindset of the Cupra brand. It has more than 450 hp (331 kW) which is enough to push it to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 4 seconds.

“The CUPRA DarkRebel condenses all of the brand’s DNA and values. With wider shoulders, a long bonnet and lower cabin focused on the driver. It stands for people who love to drive and not be driven. The CUPRA Dark Rebel is designed to enter a new dimension where desire, emotion and pushing without limits are our obsession,” said Cupra design director Jorge Diez.

Sharp lines and a triangular lighting concept, which are then applied as DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), adorn the front of the DarkRebel. The side shows the connection of the body with the front and back through channels that reveal all the technical elements, as a symbol of the relationship between exterior and interior. The interior allows the driver to experience the incredible performance of the Cupra DarkRebel on the road.

BMW Vision Neue Klasse – The car of the future

IAA MOBILITY has started and it seems that German car manufacturers are the most active when it comes to new concepts and production cars. BMW is one of them, and the Bavarian company presented a concept with a vision of the future that pays respects to the past, BMW Vision Neue Klasse.

With this concept, BMW enters a new era of individual mobility, continuing on the path of the previously presented Vision Circular and Vision Dee concepts. “With the Neue Klasse concept, we are embarking on the largest investment in the history of the company. We are not only writing the next chapter of BMW, we are also writing a whole new book,” said Frank Weber, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG.

The car with a focus on clean vision with sharp and clean lines is equipped with a completely new front fascia, lots of glass, high design lounge interior, lovely fabrics and soft plastic. The interior is decorated with yellow lounge-style seats that we will hardly see in any other car, at least in the near future. There is also a new generation iDrive system as well as BMW Panoramic Vision which, on the lower part of the windshield, provides information such as navigation, speed and etc.

With new possibilities and solutions, the BMW Vision Neue Klasse provides a new experience, creating an insight into the new future. Also, BMW claims that this car will feature 30 percent more range, 30 percent faster charging, and 25 percent more efficiency.
