BMW M3 Estate made of stolen parts

The lack of a BMW M3 Estate, did not stop one of the BMW fans to make its own version. He made his own M3, based on a standard 3 Series station wagon. Unfortunately the story does not have a happy ending.

The car appeared at one event, and after a police check, it was found that they did not match the existing car. The license plates, used by the new M3 station wagon, were registered to the diesel car, which caused suspicion. After the car was found and inspected, it was discovered that the stolen parts of four other 3 Series models were used in the construction of the car. Two cars whose parts were used were stolen in the area where the owner lives. One car was stolen in 2018 and another a year later.

“We were patrolling around the ring road area when we’ve seen this car. It’s a distinctive car, it’s bright green, and the number plates on it were misrepresented. We put that through our system and it’s come back as a two- liter diesel car, ”said Traffic Officer Will Wright.

The Police Association for Central Highways said that the car has a bad construction design, with technologically badly done welding. The amateur business, obviously, had a bad result, because only the number of the chassis and the stickers were pretty well hidden. This, however, was not enough to prevent the police from uncovering the crime.

After solving the case, the car was thrown into a shredder and destroyed.
