With the information that BMW M8 Competition models will be powered only by V8 engines, the M department has prepared a special equipment package for potential customers that will be standard for all three versions (Coupé, Cabrio and Gran Coupé).
When it comes to powertrain, the BMW M8 has not undergone any changes. It is still powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 625 hp (460 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (306 km / h).
The exterior of the M8 is refreshed with LED lights housed in shaded enclosures, M compartment markings on the front / rear cover and on the rims. It will be offered in eight new body colors (Frozen Pure Gray metallic, Frozen Deep Gray metallic, Frozen Deep Green metallic, Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic, Skyscraper gray mectallic, Brooklyn gray metallic and Isle of Man green metallic). It is equipped with 20-inch M light alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance 275/35 R 20 (front) and 285/35 R 20 (rear) tires.
Inside, the modern cockpit design delivers electrically adjustable / heated carbon front seats upholstered in a combination of leather and Alcantara. The previous smaller display has been replaced by a new 12.3-inch control display.
