Four years ago, Ferrari announced its first SUV, the Purosangue, and now, on its official Instagram profile, the company has published a darkened image of the upcoming SUV. After months of testing and hiding under camouflage, the Ferrari Purosangue has finally shown its face.
Although Ferrari has not revealed details related to this car, if we increase the light level in the published photo we can notice that the front grille is located low in the bumper with a prancing horse located in its central part, large air intakes on the sides and thin front daytime running lights.
When it comes to the powertrain, there is no information for now. Some rumors say that the Ferrari Purosangue will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with 654 hp (488 kW) and an electric motor with 164 hp (123 kW), for a total of 818 hp (610 kW) and 546 lb -ft 740 Nm) of torque. Some even mention a 6.5-liter V12 or a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. These are all guesses, and time will tell what Ferrari will offer us with its first SUV.
The test models, which could be seen in last month’s photos, had heavy camouflage. They didn’t reveal much, so all the information was a product of imagination and speculation. Either way, let’s wait until the end of the year when the Ferrari Purosangue will have its world premiere.
Ferrari says some rumors are true. Yes, but which ones?
