Mazda has unveiled new versions of its sleek, spacious and dynamic CX-5 SUV.
The car has a new three-dimensional grille, and Mazda designers have changed the look of the headlights and taillights. Also, the range of body colors has been expanded, so it is now possible to choose the Zircon Sand color.
The new CX-5 comes with significant improvements including Mi-Drive driving modes, improved driving dynamics, changed design, practicality improvements, greater differences in equipment levels, increased range and a range of safety systems.
The Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system allows the driver to select the most appropriate driving mode with just one touch of a button. Some models equipped with i-Activ AWD all-wheel drive have Off-Road mode, which makes driving more natural on slippery surfaces.
The CX-5 also benefited from Mazda’s next-generation Skyactiv-Vehicle platform that brings body, suspension and seat evolution. This has improved comfort and reduced driver and passenger fatigue. Insulation has also been significantly improved, especially in driving situations on rough surfaces.
It will be powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 hp. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Sales of the redesigned CX-5 will begin next, and the price is currently unknown.
