As the European RV industry increasingly relies on electrification, Swiss company Sortimo Walter Ruegg PLC has transformed the Mercedes-Benz EQV into an RV.
Sortimo has made numerous modifications. A roof that is extendable in height has been installed, which gives more space in the interior, and solar panels have been installed for charging batteries and auxiliary batteries. There is also a kitchen, fitted with a sink, gas oven and fridge. The EQV features an intelligent navigation system with active range management so the owner doesn’t have to worry about draining the batteries. There is also a Mercedes MBUX infotainment system.
The EQV 300 is equipped with a 90 kWh battery that provides a range between 203 – 226 miles (326 – 363 km), while the EQV 250 with a 60 kWh battery exceeds 133 – 146 miles (213 and 236 km). Both models are available in lengths of 5,140 and 5,370 mm.
How much EQV is heavier than standard after modifications is not yet known, nor how much it costs. The price of the EQV 250 (in Germany) is 67,818 EUR (77,700 USD), while the EQV 300 costs 72,280 EUR (81,700 USD).
