Mercedes-Maybach recently introduced the limited edition Mercedes-Maybach S680. The car was created in collaboration with Louis Vuitton artistic director Virgil Abloh, who also designed the Project Maybach concept presented late last year.
The Mercedes-Maybach S680 is based on the Maybach S-Class S680 announced for next year. Abloh worked on the project with Gorden Wagener, head of design at Mercedes-Benz, and the car was completed in 2021 before Abloh’s death. The exterior of the Maybach S-Class by Virgil Abloh is adorned with beige with a contrasting black roof, bonnet, boot and pillars.
Inside, the same design was used. The seats are upholstered in beige leather, which can also be worn on the door panels, armrest and the lower part of the dashboard. From the center screen upwards, almost everything is covered in black leather. Speaking of the center console screen, it now has a personalized user interface that is a more luxurious variation of the MBUX system.
The Maybach S680 by Virgil Abloh is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 604 hp (444 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 4.5 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km / h).
The car will be produced in only 150 copies.
