2022 VW Lamando L for Chinese market

Although the demand for crossovers is expanding, there are markets that still value sedans. Thus, Volkswagen launched a special model on the Chinese market, intended specifically for Chinese customers. It is a 2022 VW Lamando L with five doors.

At first glance, certain similarities with the Arteon model can be noticed. The Lamando L is built on the MQB platform as is the Arteon, but somewhat smaller. The front of the car is similar to the model ID. 4 while at the rear there is a horizontal LED strip and a centrally placed Volkswagen logo.

Inside, elegant seats combine dark and light colors with red or blue details and stitching. In front of the driver is a 10-inch cluster combined with a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system screen. Below the multimedia unit are ventilation openings and basic air conditioning controls.

The Volkswagen Lamando L is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI engine with 150 hp and 183 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 8.5 seconds, and power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Sales will begin in the next few months, and the price is currently unknown.

Subaru STI E-RA

STI E-RA is a new concept that Subaru presented at the Tokyo Auto Show. At first glance, you can see two openings on the hood, a large rear spoiler, openings on the wheel arches, a large front splitter, as well as an air intake that extends from the middle of the roof to the rear.

The electric racing concept will power four Yamaha engines with a total power of 1,073 hp (789 kW). It is equipped with a 60 kWh battery set, which may not be enough for this type of car. However, Subaru believes that next year at the Nurburgring the car will be able to achieve a lap time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

It is made of lightweight materials, painted in a combination of white and black with red details on the sides of the vehicle. The car will create great downforce, will have four-wheel drive and a “unique” torque vectoring system that maximizes grip and stability. We are sure that the expectations from this concept in Subaru are high.

At the same event, Subaru also introduced the Solterra STI. It is a more powerful version of the first electric car of this company, which was presented at the end of last year.

Can a tuned Audi RS3 beat the Tesla Model S Plaid in drag race?

Can a tuned Audi RS3 beat the Tesla Model S Plaid in drag race? Well, there aren’t many cars that can boast of being a worthy opponent of the Tesla Model S Plaid in drag race, and a video showing the showdown between the two cars has been published on the YouTube channel Sam CarLegion.

About the Tesla Model S Plaid there is no need to waste words when it comes to acceleration. This super fast car is powered by three electric motors with a total power of 1,020 hp (750 kW) and 1,050 lb-ft (1,424 Nm) of torque, with a range of 396 miles. It reaches 60 mph in 1.99 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km / h).

The Audi RS3 is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine with 753 hp (554 kW). Power is transmitted to all wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.

In three races (Sport Mode, Spor all the way and Sport all the way), Audi simply had no chance. No matter how much you increase the power of the internal combustion engine, it is obvious that some electric models are out of range, at least when it comes to acceleration.
