Tesla Model S P85D with three jet engines

How to make the Tesla Model S P85D faster is a question that some Tesla fans will ask. One of the proposals was given by Mat Mikka from Warped Perception’s, who installed three jet engines on the Telsa Model S.

As a reminder, the Tesla P85D is a fast car powered by electric motors with a total power of 691 hp (515 kW) and 686 lb-ft (930 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph (250 kph). It has a single-speed transmission and AWD.

After installing the jet engines, Matt started testing. He successfully maintained a speed of almost 60 mph (96 kph) on the highway with the help of a jet drive, and then decided to check the impact on acceleration. He reached 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, which is an outstanding result.

The sound of jet engines wins at first, especially while manually boosting thrust. The idea was initiated by Musk’s idea to offer a jet-powered Roadster, so it was only a matter of time before some of the Tesla fans would make a similar solution on their car.

Back in 1951, Porsche began its journey in Australia. Now, 70 years later, the Stuttgart-based company has introduced a special edition 911 GT3 for Australia.

“I congratulate Australia on such a significant milestone. I am pleased to see that the occasion is being celebrated in style with this sensational special edition, a sportscar that links right back to the start of our journey in Australia and that any Porsche enthusiast would be proud to own, ”said Matthias Becker, Vice President Region Overseas and Emerging Markets at Porsche AG.

The limited edition is based on the 911 (992) GT3 with the Touring Package. The car was designed by the Style Porsche design team in collaboration with the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur customization department and Porsche Cars Australia.

The range of electric cars, true or false?

When it comes to electric cars, range is one of the most important facts. But how accurate are those numbers? AutoBest found that only five of the 15 electric vehicles tested managed to achieve more than 90 percent of that range.

AutoBest tested, at a test site in Barcelona under equal conditions, cars in the price range up to 32,000 euros. Dacia Spring achieved the best results. With a full battery, it achieved over 98% of the stated range (221.03 km / 137.6 miles), which is 3 kilometers less than stated. In second place is the Kia Niro with 269.4 miles (433.35 km) or 95% of the range.

The worst results were achieved by Honda with 110.1 miles (178.14 km), or 78.46%, and Citroen e-C4 with 163.2 miles (262.54 km), or 74.59% of range.

Just as in the case of fossil fuel-powered cars, the declared range has remained in the realm of unattainable dreams for many cars.
