When a car goes on sale, its price is determined by its condition and rarity, but also the name of the person to whom it belonged. Such is the case with the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible.
This is the first new model produced, owned by KISS frontman Paul Stanley. It is painted in metallic red with a folding black roof, and stands out with yellow brake calipers.
Stanley did not set a spare price by saying, “I want to make the car available to someone who could get more out of it, add it to their collection, or drive it.” Also, the new owner will receive an signed Ibanez PS120 Paul Stanley Signature guitar: “The guitar is another part of my life, an aspect of what I really am. I thought that whoever buys a car should get it. I want someone to buy this car and doing with it what will make him happy, to enjoy it. It’s key for every collector – joy. My life has always been focused on the joy I can bring to other people. So, here’s a car and a guitar. Go and enjoy. “
Inside, the seats are upholstered in light brown leather, which can also be seen on the dashboard, door panels while the rest of the interior is upholstered in black leather with contrasting brown stitching.
Under the hood is a 6.2L V8 LT2 engine with 490 hp (360 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Reaches 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 194 mph (312 km / h).
The car will be sold at an auction to be held in Las Vegas from June 30 to July 2.
