The VW Beetle is a legendary car from a German car manufacturer that was the inspiration for the now legendary car from another German manufacturer, the Porsche 911. It was produced since 1938, and in 1998 VW introduced the “New Beetle” which in 2011 was replaced by the last variant of the “Beetle “. It remained in production until 2019, when production ceased. Not many of them survived in their original condition, so they were often modified. One such example, a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is up for auction.

This Volkswagen Beetle is powered by a modified air-cooled 2,332cc flat-four engine with dual Weber 48IDF carburetors. The engine is paired with a Rancho Pro Street four-speed manual transaxle that sends power to the rear wheels. It is mounted on 16″ Fuchs wheels wrapped in 175/60 front and 215/60 rear Goodyear Assurance tires.

The car is finished in factory Savannah Beige, and is in good condition. It is equipped with 2D1 headlights, running boards, fender-mounted antenna, amber and red taillight lenses, chrome-finished bumpers with overriders, an aftermarket exhaust system, front discs and rear drums.

Inside, low-back front bucket seats are upholstered in beige cloth and vinyl that also covers the rear bench and door panels, with a matching headliner and dash. In front of the driver is a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel behind which is a five-digit mechanical odometer showing 5,682 miles (total mileage unknown). Additional equipment includes a Sapphire V push-button AM radio, front lap belts, and a passenger-side grab handle.

The auction ends on November 10 and the highest bid at the time of writing was USD $20,000. This Beetle is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in California with a tool kit and a clean Indiana title.
