The world premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC took place yesterday, and it will be offered with an electrified two-liter turbo petrol and turbodiesel engine. It is a continuation of the successful SUV story that began with the GLK model.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC will be powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo petrol and turbodiesel engines combined with an electric motor. Three of them are mild hybrid versions (MHEV – Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle) with integrated starter / generator of the second generation (ISG) and power range from 197 to 258 hp. There will also be plug-in hybrid technology with a range of 313 to 381 hp. The engines will be paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. PHEV versions without the assistance of an internal combustion engine allow an electric range of 100 kilometers.
Mercedes has changed the dimensions of the new GLC model, which is 60 mm longer and 4 mm lower than its predecessor. The wheelbase has also been increased, as has the wheelbase. This provides more space for passengers and luggage. Inside, the design of the luxuriously equipped cabin with details is taken from the new S-Class.
The car is equipped with adaptive suspension, and also boasts excellent handling and agility. There are several sets of rims on offer, from 18 to 20 inches, and the driver has several driving modes available that provide enviable performance even on the off-road.
