While we wait for Chevrolet to officially present the new 2023 Corvette Z06, which should have its premiere at the end of October, the company announced that the order book will open soon.
Chevrolet said the ultimate performance machine will be a serious competitor to supercars. The new design of the front and wider body are just some of the changes, compared to previous models, which give the Z06 a more aggressive look.
Inside, the Z06 will retain the look of its predecessor with heated seats, a 12-inch digital cluster and a head-up display, but also with specific decals.
The Corvette Z06 will be powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine with 670 hp (500 kW) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 188 mph (302 km/h).
In addition to the standard 1LZ equipment that will come with the new Corvette Z06, additional equipment packages such as 2LZ ($115,595) and 3LZ ($120,245) will be offered. For those who want top performance, there will be a Z07 ($8,995) equipment package with carbon-ceramic brakes, improved suspension, underbody strakes and Michelin Pilot Cup 2R ZP tires. There’s also the Carbon Aero package ($8,495) and the Carbon Flash Painted package ($10,495) that must be combined together with the Z07 package for the ultimate driver experience.
When it comes to price, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will start at $106,395.
