In 2022, BMW introduced the iX Flow concept, which uses E Ink technology to change the color of the body. It is a foil that contains millions of E Ink microcapsules. Each capsule is filled with negatively charged white pigments and positively charged black pigments. Now Tesla has also offered a similar option for the Cybertruck.

Covering a car with foil can be expensive and often poorly done. That’s why the company Cybertruck Covers has produced magnetic foils that can be installed and removed in just a few minutes, which is much simpler than the current offer. They can be in different colors, can be used multiple times and are easy to install at home, without the need for special tools. However, these foils also have a negative side, which is exposed edges.

Magnetic foils are designed to be easily installed on flat and unpainted stainless steel panels, and their surface is ideal for good adhesion, which means they are stable both in place and at higher speeds. Cybertruck Covers has prepared a wide range of colors that include white, steel, black, blue, green, desert, gold, rose gold, copper, orange, red and even a color-changing option.

The magnetic films are not yet available, and will cost $ 2,000. It should also be noted that buyers can only choose one film for the front panel, which costs $ 195.
