Jerry Seinfeld’s 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa Sold for $164,000

Jerry Seinfeld is one of the world’s biggest Porsche car collectors, and one of his cars, a 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa, sold at auction for $164,000.

This Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is powered by an air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six engine with 282 hp (210 kW) and 250 lb-ft (340 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. It is mounted on two-piece 17″ Speedline wheels wrapped in 205/50 front and 255/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 N3 tires. At the end of last year, the car was serviced when the transmission fluids and oil, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, drive belts, distributor vacuum line, engine insulation, and shifter shaft seal were replaced.

The car is finished in Polar Silver, has been properly maintained and is in good condition. According to Seinfeld’s statement, he used this car to go to the filming of the last episodes of the Seinfeld series, between 1996 and 1998. It is equipped with xenon headlights with washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a “basket handle” fixed rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light, a rear window wiper, dual exhaust outlets, Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and Bilstein shocks with M030 springs.

Inside, power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Midnight Blue leather that also covers the door panels, dash and rear bench, with matching floor mats. In front of the driver are a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a six-digit odometer showing 26,228 miles (41,843 kilometers). Additional equipment includes cruise control, a Becker-Porsche CR-210 cassette stereo, a Hi-Fi sound system, and air conditioning.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with manufacturer’s literature, and a clean California title in the name of the owner’s LLC.

1957 Porsche 356A Carrera Blue coupe is up for auction

The Porsche 356 is a true collector’s car, especially if we are talking about well-preserved examples. It was produced from 1948 to 1965 in four body types, and was the first production car of the Stuttgart-based company. One of them, a 1957 Porsche 356A coupe is up for auction.

The Porsche 356A is powered by a replacement 1,720cc Type 616/33 flat-four with Shasta 86mm cylinders and pistons, a Neutek SK2 camshaft, internal and an external oil cooler, and twin Dellorto carburetors. The engine was built in 2004 (Prill Porsche Classics of Essex, England) and is paired with a four-speed manual transmission that sends power to all wheels. It sits on 15″ steel wheels wrapped in 165-series Pirelli Cinturato tires.

This car was modified for rally use in early 1990, when the factory black was replaced with Carrera Blue and a replica 1993 La Carrera Panamericana livery. It has been properly maintained and is in good condition. It is equipped with a Reutter body, headlight stone guards, Hella driving lamps, leather hood straps, dual side-view mirrors, Lexan side windows, a louvered single-grille decklid, teardrop taillights, and 356C-sourced four-wheel disc brakes with an adjustable bias.

Inside, heated Rennsport Nurburgring N12R seats are trimmed in black upholstery, which also covers the dash and door panels, with matching salt-and-pepper square-weave carpets. The rear bench was removed and a roll cage was installed. In front of the driver is a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 15,031 miles. Additional equipment includes a dash-mounted electrical cut-off switch, a glovebox-mounted Brantz rally timer, a Webasto heater, Schroth Racing harnesses, three-point seat belts, and a custom radio blanking plate with switchgear.

The car comes with an owner’s manual, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a reproduction tool roll, a rear skid plate, a set of four chrome Porsche crest hubcaps, service records, articles about the car, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name .

The auction ends on January 9 and the highest bid at the time of writing was USD $67,856.

1991 BMW 850i is up for auction

At the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show BMW premiered the first generation E31 8 Series. It was the first road car to offer a V12 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and was one of the first vehicles to be fitted with an electronic drive-by-wire throttle. It was produced until 1999, and one of them, a 1991 BMW 850i, is up for auction.

This car was owned by one of the best NBA basketball players ever, Michael Jordan, and is powered by a 5.0-liter M70B50 V12 with 296 hp (221 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. It is mounted on 17″ multi-piece AC Schnitzer wheels wrapped in 235/45 front and 275/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact tires.

The car is finished in Mauritius Blue Metallic, well maintained and in good condition. It is equipped with pop-up headlights, fog lights, a power-operated sunroof, and black bodyside trim, refinished front bumper cover, hood, and front fenders, four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS, and a MagnaFlow exhaust system.

Inside, the power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Light Parchment leather that also covers the door panels and the lower part of the dash, with matching door panels and carpets. In front of the driver are a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and a digital odometer showing 30,112 miles. Additional equipment includes an onboard computer, dual-zone automatic climate control, an AM/FM/cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer, driver position memory, a power-adjustable steering column, and air conditioning.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with documentation bearing Michael Jordan’s signature, manufacturer’s literature, a stamped service booklet, and a clean Illinois title in the owner’s name.

The auction ends on January 8 and the highest bid at the time of writing was USD $70,023.
