When Bernd Schneider won the DTM Championship in 2003, Mercedes produced the CLK DTM AMG model in honor of the victory.
The convertible and Coupe versions of this car were produced from 2004 to 2006. One of the 100 produced Coupes will be on sale.
Auction house RM Sotheby’s announced that the Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG will be auctioned on May 22.
It is a car powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine with 582 HP and 800 Nm of torque. Thanks to the automatic SpeedShift 5G-Tronic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the CLK DTM AMG reaches 62 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (322 km / h).
For better handling and stability, an adjustable suspension is installed and the rear axle is reinforced. The front grille, larger intake manifolds, wider wheel arches are just some of the accessories that adorn the exterior of this Mercedes.
Inside, there are sports seats upholstered in Alcantara leather, carbon details and a steering wheel inspired by the DTM.
