Fiat plans to become a fully electric brand

After the all-electric Fiat 500e, Fiat has confirmed its plans that its sporty version, called the Abarth, will soon hit the market. This suggests that Fiat has decided to fully electrify its vehicles.

Confirmation of Fiat’s transition to fully electric cars was given by Fiat CEO Olivier François saying: “It is our duty to bring to market electric cars that cost no more than those with an internal combustion engine, as soon as we can, in line with the falling costs of batteries. “

The announcement comes after talks between François and architect Stefano Boeri about change in urban landscapes and CO2 reduction. “We are exploring the territory of sustainable mobility for all: this is our greatest project. Between 2025 and 2030, our product line-up will gradually become electric-only. This will be a radical change for Fiat.”

Fiat plans to turn the roof track at the Lingotto factory into green hanging gardens.

“Meanwhile, in the near future, only a few months from now, I am proud that we will see the conversion of the legendary track on the roof of the former Lingotto factory in Turin into the largest hanging gardens in Europe, hosting over 28,000 plants , “said François.

Estrema Fulminea

Estrema Fulminea is a fully electric car manufactured by the Italian company Automobili Estrema. It is a hypercar with over 2,000 hp.

On Fulmine’s design, Estreme’s chief operating officer, Roberto Olivo, said: “The inspiration was not just in nature, but the symbol we have adopted, which is the lightning bolt. ‘Fulminea’ means ‘lightning fast’ in Italian, and the lightning bolt is a symbol of electricity, speed and clean energy. ”

The car is equipped with four electric motors powered by a combination of lithium-ion battery (100kWh) by Avesta Battery Energy Engineering, which provides a range of 323 miles. Thanks to the fast charge, the battery is expected to charge from 10% to 80% in 15 minutes.

Although weighing 1,500 kg, Estrema Fulminea reaches 62 mph in just 2.0 seconds with a limited top speed of 217 mph.
