For the annual Wörthersee festival, Volkswagen has prepared a new model, the Golf GTE Skylight. It is a car based on the basic model Golf GTE.
The body of the Skylight model is painted white with Lapiz Blue and Catalina Blue stripes. There are illuminated door handles, a larger rear spoiler, adjustable suspension, fenders like on the Golf R, stainless steel exhaust pipe ends made using a 3D printer and a 20-inch rims.

Inside, there are sports seats with blue upholstery combined with a dashboard and a steering wheel with blue details, a 3,110-watt sound system. Above the central touchscreen is the GTE hologram.
Skylight is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI engine with an electric motor that combines 242 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed DSG transmission that transmits power to the front wheels with the help of an XDS electronic differential. The battery (13 kWh) of the electric motor gives the vehicle a range of 38 miles (60 kilometers).
