The most powerful pickup truck in the world

Texas-based company Hennessey Performance Engineering has launched a super-powerful pick-up with 1,012 hp, the Hennessey MAMMOTH 1000 TRX. It is a vehicle based on the Dodge Ram 1500 TRX.

The MAMMOTH 1000 TRX is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine with 1,012 hp and 969 lb-ft of torque, which is 310 hp more than the Dodge Ram 1500 TRX. Thanks to the higher-flow compressor, the MAMMOTH 1000 to 62 mph comes in just 3.2 seconds making it the fastest pick-up in the world.

The company’s CEO, John Hennessey, said: “The new MAMMOTH 1000 TRX is the most powerful pickup truck that Hennessey Performance has ever offered. The Ram TRX already boasts the highest horsepower of any vehicle manufacturer’s pickup, so our performance, styling and off-road enhancements make this the most formidable new truck you can buy. We’ve already sold more than 100 trucks, with each answering one big question – why have a 1,000-horsepower pickup truck? Because we can! ”

Only 200 copies of the MAMMOTH 1000 TRX will be produced, and each copy will have a special chassis plate with a build number. The vehicle has a capacity to carry six passengers and 1,043 kg (2,300 lbs) of cargo and comes with a 2 year / 24,000 mile warranty.

The price of the vehicle will be around $ 150,000, while Hennessey estimates that most customers will take the Stage2 package, which includes 37-inch tires, custom bumpers and a front leveling kit.

McLaren 765LT with 1,000 hp

In early March, Hennessey announced it would increase the power of the McLaren 765LT up to 1,000 hp.

As a reminder, the standard McLaren 765LT develops 755 hp and reaches 60 mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 km / h). That was not enough for Hennessey, so he decided to work on the power of this supercar.

Founder & CEO, John Hennessey said: “The new 765LT is underrated from the factory. We tested it on our in-house dyno and it delivered about 765 HP – at the rear wheels. This means it’s producing closer to 865 bhp in bone stock form. ” He also said, “Upgrading the 765LT to 1,000 HP will drop the 0-60 mph time to just 2.1 seconds, which is just nuts.”

The standard McLaren 765LT costs $ 358,000. If you want to upgrade this beast, you will have to pay an additional $ 24,950 for the kit and installation.
