In September 2020, Hyundai introduced the refreshed i30 N model in response to competitors from Honda, Renault, Cupra, VW, etc. Now, this model has shown its performance on the Nürburgring Nordschleife race track.

Among the biggest novelties is the eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission, which Hyundai claims is the best solution for racetrack fans.

Sport auto magazine published a video of this model on its YouTube channel, which was tested at the Nürburgring. The driver was Sport Auto’s test driver Christian Gebhardt, and the i30 N achieved a lap time of 8.05.19 min.

The Hyundai i30 N runs a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 276 hp (206 kW) and 289 lb-ft (392 Nm) of torque. Weighing in at 2963 lbs (1344kg), it is capable of reaching 62 mph in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph (249 kph). It is equipped with 19-inch rims wrapped in Pirella P Zero Trofeo R tires.
