ID. EVERY1 is the most affordable VW EV

VW ID. EVERY1 is the most affordable electric car from the German manufacturer, with a starting price of around 20,000 euros. The concept car was presented on March 5, and its production version should arrive in 2027.

This car is supposed to replace the UP! model, which was discontinued in 2023, and the company says the production version will use a new software architecture. This means the future entry-level model will be able to receive new features throughout its lifecycle.

It is built on the modular MEB platform, like the ID. 2all, which has not yet entered production, and is expected to debut in 2026. It is 3,880 mm long, which means it is smaller than the ID. 2all (4,050 mm) and the current generation Polo (4,074 mm). The interior has a simple design with a large, centrally located touchscreen, buttons for controlling temperature, heating and sound volume. A removable Bluetooth speaker is located between the driver and front passenger. In front of the passenger is a changeable multi-function panel that can be used to attach various items such as a shelf or a tablet. The four-seater also offers a decent 305 liters of luggage space.

The ID EVERY1 is powered by a single electric motor with 94 hp, and has a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph). It is not known which battery it will use, but VW promises a range of 250 kilometers.

This will be the most affordable VW EV

In 2023, VW unveiled the ID.2all concept as its first all-electric car, with a starting price of under 25,000 euros. Although production of this model has not yet started, the German manufacturer is announcing an even cheaper car.

VW is still hiding information about this model, but some already assume that it will be the ID.EVERY1 concept. Its presentation should take place next month. This is a continuation of the previously announced long-term plan that includes the production of 10 all-electric cars for customers on a tighter budget. The mysterious model could be the next in line, and some information says that it will cost around 20,000 euros.

Last year, the German manufacturer announced the arrival of the ID.1 model, which will be affordable for everyone. It should hit the market in 2027, but some speculate that the announced concept could be the ID.1.

The ID.1 was developed in collaboration with Renault, but that collaboration ended and the two companies went their separate ways. The car is expected to use the MEB Small platform, which, unlike the standard MEB platform, is primarily intended for cars with FWD. It is also unknown which battery will be used, but some believe that it could be a 38kWh or 56kWh battery, the same one announced for the ID2.all.

More information will be available on March 5th, when the new VW concept car will be officially unveiled.
