Unique Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon

Since Charles Rolls and Henry Royce founded the Rolls-Royce company in 1904, its cars have been the epitome of luxury. However, there are always those who want more than that, a unique car. One such Rolls-Royce was created for a Chinese client, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon.

The car’s design is inspired by the Year of the Dragon and features a simple Iced Diamond black body, which looks quite modest, while the interior is the complete opposite. “Our goal was to showcase the most revered Chinese symbols and the client’s personal iconography in a striking way, but also to respectfully subtly incorporate the Rolls-Royce design signature. In this car, we have achieved this using a variety of means and have ‘captured’ the rich heritage of the region, the client and the Rolls-Royce brand,” said Shuai Feng, Rolls-Royce’s lead designer.

A special highlight in the cabin is the custom The Gallery dashboard, made of four types of wood (a total of 297 pieces) and featuring two dragons in the clouds. The front seats, dashboard, steering wheel and door panels are covered in beautiful Ardent red leather, while the owner’s last name is embroidered on the headrests in ancient Chinese calligraphy. There is also a special starry ceiling, which depicts a red and white dragon.

The car is powered by a twin-turbo 6.75L V12 engine with 563 hp (420 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough to propel the 2,560 kg (5,643.8 lb) car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The price of this unique Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon has not been published.
