European RS based on the Porsche 911 (964)

The British company for restoration, preparation, engineering and servicing, Thornley Kelham, presented its project based on the Porsche 911 (964), European RS. It is a restomod car from the European collection that will be produced in only 25 copies.

Since it appeared on the market six decades ago, the Porsche 911 has been considered one of the most popular sports cars ever. So Thornley Kelham engineers decided to use carbon fiber components, such as the rear spoiler, bumper, doors and hood, to keep the car as light as possible. It is equipped with JRZ Motorsport four-way adjustable coilovers with Eibach springs, bespoke front wishbones based on the modern GT3, and an adjustable anti-roll bar.

In the cabin, the finest materials were used, such as Connolly leather and Alcantara. One-piece carbon fiber Recaro seats, Momo Prototipo Black Edition steering wheel, and redesigned gauges re-engineered to suit the all-new electrical system, are just some of the updates that adorn the interior of the car.

When it comes to the powertrain, this car is powered by a 3.8-L 6-cylinder engine (from the 993 model) with 390 hp (291 kW) and 290 lb-ft (393 Nm) of torque, mated to a G50 6-speed manual transmission. The engine received new cylinder heads, forged Mahle pistons that provide 11.8:1 thrust, special camshafts and individual throttle bodies. For those who want more power, Thornley Kelham has prepared two options: a 4.0-liter engine with 406 hp, and a 3.8-L engine with 10,000 rpm.

The price of the car is 750,000 dollars.
