2025 Ford Puma Gen-E

Although Ford is struggling to survive in the European market, and the latest information about the reduction of production at the Cologne plant shows the situation facing the American manufacturer. However, Ford is not thinking about giving up on all-electric cars, so they have launched a new model on the European market, the Puma Gen-E.

The Puma Gen-E is slightly different visually from the hybrid version, and this primarily refers to the new front bumper with a closed grille and more elegant intakes inspired by those on the Mustang Mach-E, and a new rear spoiler. Inside, the digital cockpit with a 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment screen has been retained. The center console with a new storage compartment is positioned slightly higher. The luggage compartment has also been increased to 574 liters with an additional 43 liters under the hood. Also, the Megabox compartment under the trunk floor is larger and is now called the Gigabox.

In terms of powertrain, the Puma Gen-E is powered by a single electric motor mounted on the front axle with 168 hp (123 kW), which puts it in second place, behind the ST model with a 1.0-L EcoBoost Hybrid and 170 hp (125 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds with a top speed of 160 km/h (99 mph). It is equipped with a 43 kWh battery that provides a range of between 347 and 376 km. Thanks to 100 DC kW fast charging, the battery is charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 23 minutes.

Ford announced that the car will be manufactured in Romania and the first deliveries can be expected at the end of Q1 2025. Speaking of price, the Puma Gen-E in Germany starts at 36,900 euros.

Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 inspired by Porsche Carrera RS 2.7

In this difficult economic situation, companies are trying to make additional profits in various ways. Thus, Puma in cooperation with Porsche presented a limited series of sneakers (Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7) in honor of one of the most popular Porsche cars, 911 Carrera RS 2.7.

Ever since it appeared 50 years ago, the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 has attracted attention with its appearance, entering the hearts of enthusiasts of the most popular car brand. The intention was to produce a sports car suitable for the road. At that time it was the fastest German car but also one of the fastest in the world. It reached 62 mph in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 152 mph (245 km / h).

Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 sneakers marking the big jubilee and will be produced in 500 pairs of each color (ten colors in total) as Porsche produced 500 cars to meet the homologation regulations for Group 4.

When it comes to the price of sneakers, each pair will cost 120 euros and will be available in eight colors around the world, while orange and black are reserved only for the Dutch and Japanese markets.

Ford Puma Hybrid WRC

Although the current season is underway, the participants of the World Rally Championship (WRC) are continuously preparing for the next season. From Ford comes a new crossover, the Puma, which will replace the previous hatchback Fiesta.

According to the new regulations, Ford has built a 1.6 turbo petrol hybrid with a 136 hp electric motor. The car uses a 3.9kWh battery whose 25 minute charge is enough for the vehicle to cover the section.

Speaking about electrification, Ford Performance Director Mark Rushbrook reaffirmed Ford’s commitment to an electrified future and innovation in the automotive industry.

According to M-Sport boss Malcom Wilson, the introduction of hybrids in the WRC is the greatest achievement to date.

It is not known who will make up the driving team, considering that M-Sport has not yet chosen the drivers.

M-Sport has signed a three-year contract under the new rules, and the WRC hopes to attract more manufacturers. Hyundai has already started testing its hybrid car based on the i20N model.
