Recently, more and more Tesla vehicles are involved in traffic accidents. One such happened recently when Tesla Model 3 suddenly stopped on the highway, causing a collision of several vehicles, which resulted in the death of one person.
The accident happened on I-70 Highway east of Kansas City. According to a police report, the Model 3 stopped suddenly, after which two oncoming cars hit the vehicle. For now, there is no information on what could be the cause of the Tesla Model 3 shutdown. Some information says that a mechanical issue could be the reason for the loss of power and stopping.
U.S. authorities recently launched an investigation following reports of a braking problem that occurred on a number of Tesla cars. According to some owners, their cars unexpectedly activated the brakes for no reason.
Tesla has faced major vehicle problems in the past, such as a safety problem earlier this year. Then 19-year-old David Colombo announced on his twitter profile that he used API keys and third-party software to gain access to Tesla’s vehicles. “Regarding what I’m able to do with these Tesla’s now. This includes disabling Sentry Mode, opening the doors / windows and even starting Keyless Driving. I could also query the exact location, see if a driver is present and so on The list is quite long. I think it’s pretty dangerous, if someone is able to remotely blast music on full volume or open the windows / doors while you are on the highway. Even flashing the lights non-stop can potentially have some (dangerous ) impact on other drivers, “Colombo said.
