How to make the Tesla Model S P85D faster is a question that some Tesla fans will ask. One of the proposals was given by Mat Mikka from Warped Perception’s, who installed three jet engines on the Telsa Model S.
As a reminder, the Tesla P85D is a fast car powered by electric motors with a total power of 691 hp (515 kW) and 686 lb-ft (930 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph (250 kph). It has a single-speed transmission and AWD.
After installing the jet engines, Matt started testing. He successfully maintained a speed of almost 60 mph (96 kph) on the highway with the help of a jet drive, and then decided to check the impact on acceleration. He reached 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, which is an outstanding result.
The sound of jet engines wins at first, especially while manually boosting thrust. The idea was initiated by Musk’s idea to offer a jet-powered Roadster, so it was only a matter of time before some of the Tesla fans would make a similar solution on their car.
