Volkswagen has introduced the new Golf GTE. It is an improved version of the Golf GTI with hybrid technology.
This plug-in hybrid, thanks to Urban Motors, has received some improvements. Instead of red trim, GTE has eco-friendly blue bits. The car has a new suspension thanks to which the GTE is lower by 45mm, which results in better handling.
Inside, there are blue tartan seats with lots of blue details. The car features an 8-inch entertainment system and a 10-inch digital driver screen as standard.
The GTE has 20-inch Barracuda Project 3.0 black rims from the Ultralight Series line with Continental Sport Contact 6 tires.
The Golf GTE has a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 113 hp electric motor, which combined to produce 245 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Accelerates from 0 – 62 mph in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 140 mph. Thanks to the electric motor, the GTE can drive 37 miles at 80 mph.
VW offers an additional driver assistance package called IQ.DRIVE that boosts standard cruise control that can accelerate, brake and steer for you at 130 mph.
