Classic cars are in high demand these days, especially when it comes to rare and legendary models. One of them is this 1959 Porsche 356A 1600 coupe, which is offered for sale. The current owner bought it 47 years ago.

The Porsche 356A 1600 is powered by a replacement 1.6L flat-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

This car was sold last month but since the buyer failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase, the car is up for sale again. It is finished in brown, and is in pretty good condition, although rust can be seen in some places. It is equipped with dual mirrors, a sliding sunroof, rear quarter vent windows, dual exhaust vents exiting through the rear bumper, and body-colored fenders with chrome covers and guards. It sits on a set of chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels wrapped in Michelin XZX tires.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in brown vinyl that also covers the top of the dashboard and the door panels. In front of the driver is an ivory-color steering wheel behind which is a five-digit odometer that shows 14,084 miles (true mileage is unknown). It is equipped with a Volvo-branded push-button radio and brown floor mats.

The car comes with a removed Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, a spare distributor, manufacturer’s literature, related books and magazines, service records, and a clean California title.

The auction ends on June 21st and the current highest bid is $70,000 USD.
