If we talk about upgrading BMW models, Alpina is one of the undisputed tuners. Just seven days after the unveiling of the refreshed 8 Series, Alpina unveiled its upgraded version of the Gran Coupé 8 Series, the Alpina B8.
The Alpina B8 is powered by a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine with 621 hp (457 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to both axles via a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph (324 km / h).
The new Alpina B8, compared to the standard BMW 8 Series, has decent body changes. New owners will be able to choose between Portimao Blue, Sanremo Green, Skyscraper Gray, Frozen Pure Gray, or Frozen Tanzanite Blue body color. It is equipped with 21-inch forged aluminum rims wrapped in Pirella 245/35 (front) and 285/30 (rear) tires. At the same time, Alpina offers a 20-inch option that they consider more suitable for snow.
Inside, new leather upholstery and Alpina markings are just some of the accessories that adorn the car’s interior. In front of the driver, the old 10.25-inch dashboard has been replaced by a new 12.3-inch, and there’s a multifunction steering wheel upholstered in hand-stitched genuine leather.
The price of the BMW Gran Coupé 8 Series is 162,100 EUR, while the price of the upgraded model is not known.
