By the end of 2025, Toyota will launch six new electric models in the European market, one of which is the Urban Cruiser. This electric crossover was revealed on March 11 in Brussels.

The Urban Cruiser is larger than the Yaris Cross Hybrid and offers a more spacious interior thanks to its 2,700 mm wheelbase. Based on a new electric platform, Toyota has opted for LFP batteries for this model, which are longer-lasting and cheaper to produce than lithium-ion batteries. It comes with a Battery Care program, which includes a warranty of up to 10 years / 1 million kilometers.
The interior of the car is equipped with sliding rear seats that allow more space for passengers or luggage, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.1-inch multimedia screen, 12-color interior lighting, adaptive cruise control, a collision avoidance system and a lane-keeping system, and buyers can optionally get a 360-degree camera, JBL sound system and a panoramic roof.
When it comes to the powertrain, buyers can choose between three versions. The first version is equipped with a single electric motor with 144 hp, a 49 kWh battery that allows a range of 300 kilometers, and has front-wheel drive. The second version offers front-wheel drive, 174 hp, front-wheel drive, and a 61 kWh battery that allows 400 kilometers on a single charge. The third version comes with all-wheel drive, 184 hp, and a 61 kWh battery and a range of 350 kilometers. This version has an additional 48 kW electric motor mounted on the rear axle, and is equipped with Downhill Assist Control and Trail Mode systems to help the driver on difficult terrain.
