Like other car manufacturers, Ram has decided to electrify its models. According to the latest information, this should happen by the end of this decade and the first fully electric model should be the Ram 1500 BEV.
Ram showed a teaser image suggesting that the new pickup will look different from its predecessor. CEO Mike Koval said: “We are not following in the footsteps of our competitors.”
According to the company, production of the Rama 1500 BEV will begin in 2024. This was confirmed by Rama CEO Mike Koval: “Truck buyers are open to electrification, as long as it does not sacrifice strength, performance or ability.” Given the information that his biggest rivals will start producing EV models this year, it may be too late for Rama.
The parent company Stellantis has announced investments of $ 35.5 billion (€ 30 billion) in the electrification of vehicles by 2025.
