The first photos of the new generation Ford Tourneo Connect appeared in July, and even then it could be seen that the new Tourneo is hiding behind the slightly redesigned body of the famous Volkswagen model Caddy. This is the result of cooperation between the two companies in the field of commercial vehicles.
The essential differences on the bodywork, compared to the new Caddy, relate to the look of the front of the car, like the C-shaped LED headlights located on the sides of the new grille. The car will be offered in ten body colors and with three equipment packages (Sport, Titanium and Trend). Also, the Tourneo Connect will be offered with the Active model with additional plastic body elements that can be seen on the crossover models.
The Ford Tourneo Connect will be powered by two engine types, EcoBoost and EcoBlue. The first is a petrol 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 115 hp (85 kW) and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm) of torque. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine will be offered in two versions, 102 hp (75 kW) and 206 lb-ft (280) of torque, and a more powerful 122 hp (90 kW) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque. moment. All engine options come with a six-speed manual transmission, while a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is available at an additional cost.
The Tourneo Connect will be offered for the first time with all-wheel drive for a more powerful version of the diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission.
