Recently, a video appeared in which two drunken young men learned a life lesson, do not mess with farmers. The incident happened last year in Durham, England, on the farm of Robert Hooper.
The young men parked their Opel Corsa at the entrance to the property, and after Hooper asked them to remove the car they tried to physically attack it. Hooper took a loader, overturned the vehicle and pushed it out into the street. On his way back to the property, Hooper hit one of the young men with a forklift.
The incident has evoked great interest, especially from local communities. “I reacted this way because I felt threatened and defended my home. The Englishman’s house is his castle, and my castle starts at the entrance to the courtyard,” Hooper said.
One of the young men, 21-year-old Charlie Burns, sued Hooper for the attack. After the hearing, the court acquitted Robert Hooper. In the verdict, the judge said: “Robert is a decent member of the community who has never been punished. His actions were completely irrational, but everyone’s right to defend their home is indisputable.”
Interestingly, the judge also used the famous sentence of Iron Mike (Mike Tyson) in his address: “Everyone has a plan until they get a fist in the mouth.”
