2022 ended and car manufacturers publish results when it comes to sales. After Rolls-Royce, who achieved a record sale of over 6,000 vehicles around the world and Bugatti who produced and submitted 80 cars last year, Lamborghini also made a record sale of 9,242 cars.
The largest number of Lamborghini models were sold in the United States (2,721 copies). In Europe, the largest markets were Germany and the United Kingdom, and with increasing sales Lamborghini has expanded its sales network to 180 sales salons in 53 countries.
After selling 8,405 vehicles in 2021, Lamborghini recorded a sales growth of 10 percent last year. Of course, Lamborghini Urus was a star and was sold in 5,376 copies, which is a growth of 7 percent. Huracan was delivered in 3,133 copies, while Lamborghini Aventador, whose last copy was produced in the middle of last year, sold in 753 copies.
Speaking of the future, at the beginning of the last year, Lamborghini Ceo Stephan Winkelmann said they will offer their first plug-in hybrid model in 2023. Thus, the honor of being the last Lamborghini with an internal combustion engine went to 2023 Huracan Sterrato, which was premiered in December at the Art Basel Festival in Miami (USA).
The all-terrain super sports car will be powered by a centrally located naturally aspirated 5.2 L V10 engine with 610 hp (449 kW) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It reaches 62 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 162 mph (260 km/h).
