2024 Renault Captur with Esprit Alpine trim

At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show Renault introduced a series of subcompact crossover SUVs, the Renault Captur, which went into production two years later. It is one of the best-selling B segment crossovers in Europe, which has now received a redesigned edition, the Esprit Alpine.

The appearance of the front and rear of the redesigned edition follows the current design of Renault models with a different graphic of the headlights, a redesigned logo, while the false ends of the exhaust system on the bumper have been removed. Buyers will be able to choose from 14 single- and two-tone body combinations. The basic version of the Captur is mounted on steel 17-inch rims, and part of the standard equipment in combination with the Esprit Alpine version are also special 19-inch aluminum rims.

The interior of the car is equipped with a larger display of the multimedia system and a larger display of the adaptive digital instrument panel. Synthetic leather has been replaced with recycled materials such as hemp, and chrome details have been removed.

When it comes to the powertrain, the new Captur comes with four options. The base version is powered by a 90 hp (67 kW) 1.0-L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the front wheels. Customers can also choose a 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline with 140 (104 kW), or 160 hp (119 kW) with an automatic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The economical version comes with a 1.5-L 3-cylinder turbo engine with 100 hp (75 kW), which can run on gasoline and autogas. Two tanks ensure the crossing of more than 1,600 kilometers.

The hybrid option is powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine in combination with an electric motor with a total power of 145 hp (108 kW), and Renault claims that this version in city conditions is powered by the electric motor 80% of the time.

Xiaomi is developing its first SUV

At the end of March, Xiaomi officially introduced its first car, the SU7, which will soon enter production. It is a fully electric sedan for which the Chinese tech giant received more than 50,000 orders in less than half an hour after its presentation. Now comes the information that Xiaomi is working on the development of its second car and its first SUV.

The Xiaomi SUV should bring a larger battery and extended range, and some information says that it will not be built on the Modena platform like the SU7, but on a completely new platform. It will be similar in size to the Porsche Cayenne, and its rival will be the Li Auto L9.

The artist known as Sugar Chow has released the first renders showing the SUV with front and rear lights similar to those on the SU7, but integrated into the body like the lights on the Ferrari Purosangue. It should be noted that Xiaomi has not yet released any information about its first SUV.

When it comes to SU7, it will come in three versions: SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. The standard version is powered by an electric motor with 299 hp (220 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, and will have RWD. It will accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.28 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). It is equipped with a BYD Blade 73.6 kWh battery that provides a range of 700 kilometers. It will cost $29,900.

The more powerful version of the SU7 Pro will be equipped with an 800V architecture, a 94.3 kWh battery that provides a range of 830 km, and will cost $34,000. However, the most powerful version, Xiaomi SU7 Max, is really impressive. It is powered by two electric motors with a total output of 673 hp (495 kW) and 618 lb-ft (838 Nm) of torque, and has AWD. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.78 seconds with a top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph). It is equipped with the Xiami Pilot Max ADAS system, 800V architecture, and a CATI Qilin 101 kWh battery that enables a range of 800 km, or 510 km after a 15-minute charge. It costs $41,500.

2024 Mitsuoka Ryugi

The Japanese car manufacturer, Mitsuoka Motor, presented its new project, Ryugi, with the soul of Toyota Corolla. This company is known for making unique cars with unconventional styling, some of which are modern while others imitate the look of American, European and particularly British retro cars of the 1950s and 1960s.

Mitsuoka Ryugi has been around for ten years, and in its new edition it brings several visual changes and additional equipment. The exterior design of the car resembles a combination of British classic cars from the middle of the last century. Price, between 20,300 and 27,200 dollars.

Under the bonnet is a 1.5 liter gasoline engine combined with a hybrid system, paired with a five-speed manual and CVT transmission that works independently or with the hybrid system.

The car is offered as a sedan and wagon, under which the previous generation Toyota Corolla (E160) with JDM specifications is hidden. This model is still produced as the Corolla Axio sedan and the Corolla Fielder wagon, although a new generation arrived on the market six years ago. The interior is mostly taken from the Corolla, with the Mitsuoka logo added to the steering wheel and seats.
