2023 VW Golf R 333 Limited Edition

In 2014, Volkswagen presented the Golf R400 concept. At the time, it was speculated that the concept would get its production version (R420), but the Dieselgate affair ended the plans for the ultimate Golf R. Nine years later, Volkswagen announces the arrival of the Golf R 333 Limited Edition, which will be premiered on May 31.

Last year, we saw the premiere of the powerful hatchback called the 20 Years Edition, which marked two decades of this car. Those who wanted it, but couldn’t get it, now have the opportunity to buy the Golf R 333 Limited Edition.

According to some predictions, the car will be powered by a 2.0L gasoline engine with 333 hp (245 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to push the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph). The car in the video is finished in yellow with black side mirrors, mounted on a set of 19-inch Estoril wheels and has blue brake calipers, and equipped with an Akrapovič quad exhaust system.

The price of the car is not known, but it can be expected that it will not be cheaper than the “20 Years Edition” which cost 60,000 EUR.

Three new Tesla Roadsters were hidden for 10 years

Recently, we have witnessed situations where cars were hidden in barns for many years. First of all, we are talking about older cars that are often in bad condition. However, news comes from China about shipping containers with three brand new Tesla Roadsters that have been hidden for 10 years.

The cars are in pretty good condition, if we consider that they have not been driven and maintained. This small collection consists of Tesla Roadster Very Orange, Very Orange Sport and Radiant Red Sport. According to available information, all three were bought by the same customer and transported to China, where he abandoned them for unknown reasons. During the ten-year period, a storage debt was accumulated, which the seller will now pay.

Any car that has been standing for a decade, regardless of its original condition, can suffer serious degradation, but a ship transporter is not a bad place. Electric cars don’t carry with them the same problems that characterize vehicles with an internal combustion engine, but that still doesn’t mean that Roadsters will be roadworthy when their batteries are charged.

Now these three cars are looking for new owners and the sale has been announced by Gruber Motor Company.

Lanzante 930 TAG Turbo

It’s not often that we see a road legal car powered by a Formula 1 engine, but there are always exceptions. Such is the case with this Lanzante 930 TAG Turbo which is powered by a Formula 1 V6 engine.

In order to compete with Renault, McLaren joined forces with TAG and Porsche in 1982 to jointly develop a turbocharged F1 engine. The creative behind it is Hans Mezger, the legendary Porsche engineer who designed some of the best high-performance engines. When the engine was developed to be tested, it was installed in a road-going Porsche 911 Turbo. This later inspired Dean Lanzante to build this specimen. The same engine powered McLaren cars in the 1984 and 1985 Formula 1 seasons.

Lanzante bought 11 engines to be able to produce 11 unique examples of the 930. To fit the 1.5 liter V6 engine Lanzante teamed up with Cosworth but power had to be reduced from a massive 1,000 hp (735 kW) to a road legal 503 hp (370 kW) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a limited slip differential. That was enough for the car to reach a top speed of 322 km/h (200 mph).

The car is equipped with a new radiator, new shock absorbers and carbon brakes, carbon and aluminum components, which reduces the weight by 200 kg, but there is no traction control system. It is mounted on 17″ Ruf wheels.
