Venom F5 Revolution is the new beast on the road

All car enthusiasts know that the Venom F5 is one of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world. Now at the end of the week, Hennessey will unveil the limited edition of the ultra sports model, Venom F5 Revolution.

Compared to the standard F5, the Revolution is equipped with better-tuned adaptive suspension elements and aerodynamic body solutions with which the F5 Revolution will have significantly better cornering grip. Under the hood is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,817 hp (1,336 kW) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The F5 Revolution weighs only 1,360 kilograms, which is 25 kg less than the Venom F5. Hennessey says that the multi-adjustable rear spoiler, at a speed of 400 km/h, ensures 635 kilograms of pressure on the rear axle. Handling will also be helped by the larger diameter of the ultra-light rims with tires for use only on the track.

The car will be produced in only 24 examples of which, as the company from Texas claims, most of them have been sold. The price of each F5 Revolution is $2.7 million.

2022 was the best year for Rolls-Royce

At the beginning of the year, each company sums up its business results from the previous year. Some made a small profit, some made a loss, but there are also those that can boast of record sales. One of them is Rolls-Royce, which delivered over 6,000 vehicles worldwide in the past year.

Rolls-Royce Down

Since it was founded in 1904, Rolls-Royce has never achieved a sales result like in 2022, when a total of 6,021 vehicles were delivered. The Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Europe, as well as the United States, recorded the highest sales growth. The United States remained the largest market for the British brand, while the Chinese market has now become the second largest for Rolls-Royce. The Goodwood-based company also achieved record sales in the UK and Germany.

Maybe the number of 6k vehicles sold for the year is low, but if we consider that customers paid an average of $500,000 for their new car, we can say that Rolls-Royce enjoyed the demand and sales results.

When it comes to individual sales, the Cullinan maintained its position as the brand’s best-selling model, followed by the Ghost, which was the best-selling model in the Asia-Pacific region. Rolls-Royce is also proud to say that demand for the Spectre, its first all-electric production model, is currently exceeding its expectations, but there is no detailed information on the number of reservations made so far. The first deliveries of the ultra-luxury EV to customers are scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

Also, 2021 was a successful year for Rolls-Royce. That year, the British company sold 5,586 cars.

Mercedes is building a charging station network in North America

The increased demand for electric cars necessarily requires an increase in the number of charging stations. Thus, Mercedes-Benz decided to start building a network of stations in North America, and the goal is to establish a complete network before the end of the decade.

Mercedes’ long-term plan is to go all-electric, and it’s currently trying to make that happen in North America. The company believes that this strategic move will significantly improve the usability and practicality of the new generation of electric vehicles, differentiate the Mercedes-Benz ownership experience and accelerate the transformation of electric vehicles.

Creating a network of stations will improve the customer charging experience, accelerate the journey towards an all-electric future and create a global infrastructure asset with future potential for value creation. Mercedes-Benz charging hubs will be located in key cities and urban centers of population, close to major arteries, convenient retail and service destinations.

Depending on the region and location, the hubs will offer 4 to 12, and eventually even 30 high power chargers (HPC) with up to 350 kW of charging power. Intelligent charging management will allow each vehicle to charge at its maximum capacity, which will keep waiting times to an absolute minimum.

Although the focus of this decision is on owners of Mercedes vehicles, this network will also be open to drivers of all other brands with compatible technology. This comprehensive initiative, with ongoing support from collaborative networks such as IONITY, also aims to drive the global adoption of electric mobility.

The total investment will be around 1 billion euros, and the plan is to realize it in the next seven years.
